6 days and counting down until the BIG race. I am really nervous. First thing is first I need to get my diet under control....quickly. The trip to Loveland really threw me into a tailspin, and somehow seemed to justify a few extra days off since we have been home! I don't know how that works, but it did! I ran 4 miles on Friday and was completely useless for the rest of the day and most of Saturday in terms of my foot. I really don't know how it is going to hold up for the race and what is going to happen to me post race. My taper schedule calls for me to do light runs and bikes as well as swim everyday. I think I might skip the running, unless I do some short 2 mile treadmill runs.
We'll see I guess. I am nervous to say the least, but I have a plan and I'll just have to stick to it and see how it goes!

good luck with the foot... I was really nervous for my marathon in fargo since I hadn't actually ran in a month. it turns out my foot didn't even hurt at all during the race. maybe you will be blessed with the same miracle. if not, you can just grit out a 13 mile run, right?
you are going to rock. just take it easy leading up to the race in terms of running. everything will fall into place.
With the 3 week taper coming to a close I am starting to feel out of shape! I know I am not and that I am resting up...but I feel like I am ready to go today! I have not ran since Friday, and I'm not going to before the race. So we'll see, everybody keep your fingers crossed.
